Happy April!

We are very happy around here these days.  Sales are picking up and it is making us feel more and more inspired. I am getting ready to sit down and and make some more pieces and plan to have some new items for sale over the next month.

Happy March!!!

Yeah, I know... March is practically half over.  Tomorrow be the ides, so beware.  

So, we are kicking things up a few notches here at Maria Rogue... 

Beginning May 1, 2012, new things are happening with the shop:  We are giving the shop a total makeover.  This will include expanding the shop - we are going to start selling photography props - small themed sets, jewelry, accessories, upcycled items, and the like.  We will still have our regular line of jewelry and accessories, so have no fear.  We just think it's time to grow.  In the meantime, it'll be business as usual at the Etsy shop.

If any of you have photographer friends who may be interested, be sure to spread the word.  I am planning on putting a couple of Spring/Easter prototype props in the next couple of weeks if things go as planned.

Smash Books

I love these things and think they were a brilliant idea.

I have two so far... One where I "smash" all my little odds and ins and another one where I "smash" all of my traveling stuff, like postcards, photos, stickers, pamphlets, etc.  I have had so much fun with these!!!  The only thing that bums me out is that they only have a few embellishments for them and they've been out for awhile.  I mean, even though the whole point is to create your own pages, the embellishments that are available are so cute and really add something to your pages.

I'm On Pinterest...

After hearing so much about Pinterest, I decided to get myself an invite - yes, you need to be invited to play on this site - and share my wares with a different audience.  So far, it has worked out nicely, because different people have "liked" my stuff and/or "re-pinned" my stuff, which means potential sales.   All right by me!

If you are not yet on Pinterest, I highly recommend it, but I must warn you it is highly addicting.  You'll start looking at things and liking things and re-pinning things, and the next thing you know, two hours have flown by, lost forever.  If you want an invite, I'd be glad to give you one - just leave me a comment below with your email address.

I have posted about nine new items on Maria Rogue today, including this lovely Sweetheart Necklace and this stunning Marie Antoinette Bauble Ring.

I somehow suspect that with Valentine's Day coming up, that Sweetheart Necklace is going to go fast.  I should probably get on the ball and make a few more Valentine's Day friendly pieces and make a few sales this month.
